Conventional sunglasses are not designed for direct solar viewing. They reduce glare but do not block solar radiation sufficiently for safe observation. Our glasses incorporate a polymer filter that blocks over 99.99% of visible light and virtually 100% of ultraviolet radiation. No. Eclipse glasses are designed exclusively for unaided viewing. They should never be used with binoculars, telescopes, or any other optical instrument, as the concentration of light can damage the filter and render the protection useless. For observation with optical instruments, specific solar filters for the equipment's aperture are required.

Yes, always under adult supervision, as indicated by the safety regulations printed on each pair of glasses. The glasses are one-size-fits-all. There is no minimum age established by the certification; permanent adult supervision is mandatory.

Yes, as long as they are in good condition. Before each use, inspect the filter: if it has scratches, perforations, detachments, or any damage, do not use it. The safety instructions printed on the goggles include this warning.

The glasses are manufactured by a specialized producer with European certification, with an EU type-examination (Module B) issued by the Notified Body NB 0068 (MTIC InterCert). The Authorized Representative in the EU is EUREP ENV S.L. (Madrid). The manufacturer's and authorized representative's data are printed on each pair of glasses; the importer's data (SEMYP, S.L.N.E.) are printed on the packaging. All of this is in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

Yes, within 14 calendar days of receiving the order, provided the product is unopened and with the original seal or packaging intact. As this is an eye protection product, returns of glasses with opened packaging will not be accepted, for safety and hygiene reasons. The cost of return is borne by the buyer.

The total solar eclipse will occur on August 12, 2026. It will be visible as a total eclipse in a band crossing Spain from northwest to southeast, passing through Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, La Rioja, Navarra, Castile and León, Aragon, Castile-La Mancha (Cuenca and Guadalajara), Valencian Community (Valencia, Castellón and Teruel), Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands. In the rest of the Peninsula, it will be seen as a partial eclipse of great magnitude. The eclipse occurs at sunset, with the sun very low on the horizon: a low, orange sun seems harmless but it is not; eye protection is equally necessary.

Yes. In areas where the eclipse is partial, the sun is never completely covered, so looking at it without proper protection can cause permanent eye damage. Certified glasses are necessary at all times during observation, both in areas of totality and partiality. Do not remove your glasses at any time while any part of the solar disk is visible.

The totality phase lasts between 1 minute 36 seconds and 1 minute 50 seconds on the central line of the path, and less on the edges. The entire process (from when the Moon begins to cover the Sun until it is fully uncovered) lasts about two hours, although in many parts of Spain the Sun will set before it ends.
